- What is your role and the institution that you work for?
- Clinical Tutor with the Staffs/Keele Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme, based in Stoke campus, UK
- Are you currently using the Values Exchange to support teaching? If yes, please tell us a little about it.
- Just started this week! First initial pilot to see how it feels and works. I lead on a module called Personal & Professional Issues for second year clinical psychology trainees and I decided to start with Values Exchange as something that would give them formative experience to help them with their later assignment. Their assignment asks them to reflect, as a group and then in an individual report, on a case vignette which throws up ethical, professional and clinical dilemmas. They also have to reflect on their own learning as part of it. So Values Exchange seemed an ideal process to help them. I put up last year's case vignette into Values Exchange so they could think their way through that before they read the previous cohort's assignments. I did that this week with them. Then at the end of the month, I've booked in time for us to talk about their group response and different perspectives. as I hope this will help them with the group presentation part of their assignment .They do their final bit of the assignment in January so that will be when I'll get the final sense of how well Values Exchange helped them in this module.
